I wrote about how I started a local, men’s-only book club when I joined Substack back in July, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. Many of you have reached out wanting to join, but it's currently just an in-person chapter in my city. We just finished our first year, and it has been such a success that I want to extend an invitation to readers from all over.
I am happy to announce that an online chapter of Men Read Fiction Too! will be available to join, for a small subscription fee. If this is something that interests you, then keep reading!

What Will We Be Reading?
My entire reading philosophy is that we should all be reading broadly and I bring that to my book club. So we will be reading classics, known and underrated, as well as contemporaries that are either raved about and not talked about enough. From Pulitzer Prize winners, to sci-fi, we’ll be reading a little bit of everything that’s fiction.
Here’s the 2026 1st Quarter line-up:
January Book: The Sympathizer by Viet Thanh Nguyen
Meeting February 1st @ 11am EST via Zoom
February Book: Persuasion by Jane Austen
Meeting March 1st @ 11am EST via Zoom
1March Book: Amulet by Roberto Bolaño
Meeting March 29th @ 11am EST via Zoom
Every book after these 3 will be voted on in the Book Clubs website. You only get to vote by becoming a paid subscriber.
Who Can Join?
We welcome anyone who identifies as a man to join us!
Ladies, while I know many of you support this endeavor and would like to join, I encourage you to keep it ‘for the boys.’
If you choose to subscribe and join us for a meeting regardless, you will be welcome. However, the best way to support us is to encourage the men in your life to join.

This is my first attempt at an online book club and I can’t wait to discuss great books with all you wonderful people!
The category for my local chapter was ‘Book by a local author,’ so to differentiate it this time I chose a book I’ve personally been wanting to read.
Not a dude but cool! Persuasion is great
